- The role will work closely with the businesses and the IT line to deliver effective and holistic operational risk governance for technology in the bank.
- Responsible for formulation of technology risk management goals and establish the Technology Risk Management Framework, standards within the technology risk sphere through development of technology risk management strategy and action plans.
- Coordinate the development and on-going maintenance of the Technology Risk Management Framework & Policy to ensure that all IT policies are compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Manage and monitor the IT Risk posture for the businesses. Provide management with transparency over risks issues and how they can be addressed, and communicate information to the relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor the risks facing the business with the ability to understand key technology controls and the maturity of those controls to mitigate identified risks. Identify areas for improvement to minimise technology risks for the bank.
- Monitor and maintain information systems controls to ensure they function effectively and efficiently.
- Act as a subject matter expert in relation to IT Risk, Control and Security. Develop and maintain strong business and technology relationships, becoming a trusted partner.
- Provide advisories on technology risks in areas such as new digital channels, new business initiatives requiring significant IT investments for the bank, Infrastructure expansion to new countries, outsourcing of key activities to 3rd parties and transformational projects.
- Build a culture focused on the pro-active awareness and improvement of the risk environment.
